Grafikato is a graphics design business started up in May of 2008 by me, Kat, aka "Jackalgirl" (my Geocaching handle).
I have a BFA in Illustration from the Columbus College of Art & Design, with a particular emphasis on what they now call "sequential art", which covers cartooning as well as comic-book illustration and animation.
I offer an extremely diverse background of someone who is just about interested in everything, and who has the research skills to back it up. If you have an idea, or even just a theme, I can put together something as symbolic & historic (or just plain wacky) as you like.
Behind the name: "Grafikato"
I'm very interested in Esperanto, a planned language created by a gentleman by the name of L. L. Zamenhof at the turn of the 20th Century. His goal was to create an auxiliary, "hip-pocket" language that was extremely easy and quick to learn (it only has 16 rules of grammar!), and which would not supplant anyone's natural, national language. Rather, it would simply be ready to deploy upon meeting someone whose natural language you didn't know. The word "Grafikato" is a combination of the word "grafiko" (graphic arts, graphics) and "kato" (cat or, of course, my name).
